1. Get Admission in a Recognized University

The process starts with securing a seat in an MBBS program of a recognized medical university. Your admission to a medical college depends on your eligibility. The university will verify your credentials and issue a letter of admission only upon finding all the necessary papers with your application form. It will start the visa process.

2. University Requests Visa Invitation Letter

Medical colleges and universities are responsible for updating the foreign ministry on the number of students eligible to study medical courses in Uzbekistan. Ministry officials re-verify each student visa application and send visa invitation letters to eligible students. The ministry can take 10 to 15 days to process student visa applications and issue letters.

3. Prepare Your Documents

The visa process has been simplified for MBBS in Uzbekistan for Indian students. You won’t have to take much pain in furnishing documents for your visa application. The following are the documents needed to process a visa application:

  • Valid passport (with at least one year of validity)
  • Recent passport-sized photographs
  • Academic qualification certificates
  • A medical certificate, including an HIV test
  • Financial statement

4.Submit Visa Application

Submit your visa application along with the necessary documents and fees to the Uzbekistan Embassy or consulate in your country. Some countries don’t have Uzbekistan consulates. Students from those countries get visas on arrival. The embassy will stamp the visa on your passport. A student visa is issued only for the duration of the course program.

5. Visa Approval

A student visa is given for one academic year. Your university will request the foreign ministry to extend your visa to the duration of the course. You won’t have to worry about your visa expiring before the course is complete.
