Indian students in Uzbekistan: Statistical trend

A close study of statistical trends shows a significant growth in the number of students enrolling in various universities in Uzbekistan. Also, the trends highlight the growing popularity of medical studies in Uzbekistan among Indian students. This growth can be attributed to the Medical Council of India (MCI) recognizing medical courses offered by Uzbek universities.

Let’s discuss the factors contributing to the growth of Indian students in Uzbekistan

1. Accreditation

Most medical students from India migrate to Uzbekistan to pursue MBBS because medical degrees from Uzbek universities are recognized in India. In other words, they can start their careers soon after completing their degrees. Instead of waiting to clear the tough medical entrance exam in India, they chose to go abroad to fulfill their dreams.

2. Fee

A six-year medical course in Uzbekistan costs around ₹ 17,00,000, including accommodation. If you compare the fees of Uzbek colleges with other countries, you will find Uzbekistan much cheaper. Cost-effective fees help students from all financial backgrounds to pursue MBBS in Uzbekistan. They get a comprehensive package, including tuition fees and hostel charges. Also, it is affordable to live in Uzbekistan.

3. Infrastructure

Uzbekistan is one of the fastest-developing countries in the world. Also, it is investing more in the development of education. The existing colleges are expanded and new colleges are opened to accommodate more students. The universities are getting huge grants to develop their facilities with state-of-the-art amenities.

4. English medium education

Uzbek universities and colleges offer English medium education that attracts international students. Also, Uzbekistan has done away with the difficult IELTS/TOEFL test. Indian students can migrate to Uzbekistan for higher studies in the English language without passing the mandatory English language test by American and European colleges.

5. Popular colleges
Samarkand State Medical University is one of the most popular universities for medical studies. It offers a wide range of courses covering all aspects of medical education. Similarly, other Uzbek universities have become popular in the world. Together, these universities promise quality education at an affordable price to attract international students, including Indian students.
